His journey has included work as a student correctional officer and humanitarian trips to Mexico and Arizona, supporting migrants along the border. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, animals, and spending time in nature.

Akib Patel is an HVAC business owner and commissioner of a Muslim ball hockey league.
